I knew Carbs were dangerous

I was cooking some soup earlier, and a red-hot grain of rice flew out of the pan, burning me on the stomach.

However, I persevered with the eating “bad foods” plan, and am proud to report today’s attempt was a success. OK, it wasn’t a huge amount of rice, just a tablespoon or two in the soup, but there were also a couple of pieces of potato in there. Considering for the past week or two I have slowly cut the majority of foods out of my diet, this is a promising turn around from living off yogurts. And that’s two “Bad foods” in one meal.  The potato was a surprise to me, I’d thought of picking it out, and throwing it away. I also ate an apple. It may not seem like a massive amount for lunch, and I know its not enough yet, but the overall result has made me smile.

That’s more than can be said for last nights “Quorn Fiasco”. It did not go as planned. I think it was just too scary, too soon. For those who don’t know, Quorn is a meat replacement product. I thought it seemed less threatening than meat itself, but turns out I couldn’t eat it. It ended up in the bin, and I ended up becoming despondent about ever getting any better. However, it just goes to show, if at first you don’t succeed…

  1. Well done, you’re doing well :o )

  2. Howdy!
    You ate rice and potato!
    That’s wonderfully starchy. :)
    You will get better…
Have you thought of getting a higher fat version of the stuff you can manage to eat? Like the yogurt etc?
You mentioned having light hot chocolate… You should try and switch to regular.
Basically if you and I switched our menu plans for a few weeks we’d both get to a very healthy weight…
    Ironic isnt it?
    Take care woman.

  3. That’s what I said at the Unit. It’s a shame I don’t enjoy eating, otherwise treatment would be a dream!
